10 ways to keep yourself happy 😊

 


Sometimes we all experience a change in mood as we all call it "moodswings"....A moment you're happy,the next you're so angry or your so sad and you just want to lock yourself in the dark and cry your eyes out.....
Well.....below are few tips that could help you manage your moods effectively. 😉 

1.Music Therapy
When you feel a change in mood and you don't feel like talking to anyone one....you could just plug in your earphones and listen to a playlist that suits your mood.
Remember,it's commonly said that "music lifts the spirits"

2.Play games 
Whether a board game or a mobile game..it's sure to change your mood into a better one ....Games help to relax the mind and keep your temperament at bay.

3.Watch a movie 
You could watch a movie either alone or with a friend...whichever suits you best or makes you more comfortable 😉. 

4.Call or text a friend 
If you have a friend with whom you feel very safe and comfortable with,it's the best time to call them to talk to them,or you could text them and if possible tell them to come over to spend sometime with you.

5.Hangout with friends
Just as you could call a friend over,you could also hang out with a group of friends,maybe eat out,swim,and do many other fun things but avoid alcohol.why?
Because,If you take alcohol make yourself happy,you could get addicted,I.e anytime you're in a foul mood,you'd want to resort to alcohol.

6.Try a new recipe
For people who have the flair and passion for cooking,you could decide to try a recipe you haven't tried before...at the end you're either happy because you got the recipe right or you're laughing because of your failed attempt at getting it right.

7.Exercise
Exercise could be in form of sports....you could play football,swim,or any other sport that you like.

8.Sleep
After crying feeling sleepy is inevitable...and when you feel sleepy just sleep and if you don't feel sleepy?
Don't force or induce it...DO NOT TAKE DRUGS TO SLEEP unless its prescribed by a doctor.
 
9.Read a book
If you love reading books,it's best to pick your favourite genre and read.....either a paperback or an ebook.

10.Cleaning
You could do a few chores around the house just to keep yourself busy. 


NB:All the above ain't for depression....but they can also be used to curb an addiction...whether to a substance or to a bad habit.
